Frequently asked

Everything teams ask before they pick a plan

How does Minutely meter usage — what counts as a "meeting minute"?

One minute = one minute of audio attended by a Minutely bot (or uploaded as a recording), rounded up to the nearest minute per session. A 47-second sync counts as 1 minute; a 62-minute board meeting counts as 62. Idle bot time in a waiting room doesn't count. Async transcription on uploaded files is metered the same way.

Why is pricing per workspace instead of per seat?

Approved meeting records are a team artefact — the value scales with what the team decides, not how many people watch. Per-seat pricing penalises you for adding observers, approvers, or external reviewers. Minutely charges a flat workspace fee on every paid tier so inviting your CFO or legal counsel costs you nothing extra. Free is capped at 1 user; Starter includes up to 5; Growth, Business, and Enterprise have no seat cap.

What happens when I run out of included minutes mid-month?

Three options, you choose: (a) auto-upgrade to the next tier at the start of the next cycle, (b) buy a one-shot top-up of pay-as-you-go credits from the Billing page, or (c) let the bot stop joining new meetings until the cycle resets. We never silently bill overages — every minute past your plan is an explicit click on your part.

Can I switch plans, downgrade, or cancel at any time?

Yes — all three, self-serve from your Billing page. Plan changes pro-rate immediately. Downgrades preserve all your past records; you only lose access to higher-tier features (e.g. Webhooks if you drop to Starter). Cancellation keeps your data accessible in read-only mode for 90 days so you can export. There are no cancellation fees and no annual lock-ins on monthly billing.

How does the 14-day trial work, and do I need a credit card?

No card needed. Click "Start trial" on any paid tier; you get full access to that plan's features for 14 days. If you don't pick a paid plan by day 14, your workspace automatically drops to the Free tier — all your meeting records stay accessible. To convert to paid, add a card during the trial; you won't be charged until day 15.

Can I run Minutely entirely inside my own cloud (no Minutely-managed data)?

Yes, on Enterprise. We support: (a) VPC deployment on your AWS, GCP, or Azure account — we orchestrate, you host; (b) on-premise / air-gapped Kubernetes for HIPAA, classified, or regulated environments; (c) BYO LLM endpoint so MOM generation never leaves your perimeter; (d) customer-managed KMS keys for everything at rest. We can sign a HIPAA BAA, custom DPA, or BPA. Talk to sales for a deployment manifest tailored to your stack.

What integrations are included on each tier?

Free + Student include Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams capture plus basic MOM export. Starter unlocks the REST API, Google Calendar / Outlook auto-join, and webhook destinations (Slack, Linear, Notion). Growth adds Ask Minutely (cross-meeting RAG with citations), team-role RBAC, custom MOM section prompts, and priority processing. Business adds advanced approval workflows, multi-workspace administration, SSO + SCIM (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace), 7-year audit-log export, and a named CSM. Enterprise adds VPC/on-prem and BYO LLM as above.

Do you offer discounts for students, researchers, or non-profits?

Yes. The Student tier is $10/month and includes 600 minutes — verification is a one-click check of your .edu or research-lab email. Registered non-profits get a 30% discount on Growth, Business, and Enterprise (we ask for a 501(c)(3) determination letter or local equivalent). Email talk2saadalam@gmail.com from your .org address and we'll set you up within one business day.

How is billing handled — is my payment method secure?

All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We never store your card number — it lives in Stripe's vault. From the Billing page you can update card details, change plans, view invoices, and download receipts through Stripe's hosted customer portal. Annual plans get a 20% discount; monthly cancels anytime.
